Data deletion instructions
You can ask Sivakoti to delete personal information associated with your devotee record or communications.

How to submit a request
- Email info@sivakoti.org containing the words DELETE MY DATA.
- Include your full name and the phone number or email address associated with your Sivakoti record.
- Complete the identity-verification step requested by an authorised Sivakoti administrator. We use this step to prevent someone else from deleting your record.
We normally acknowledge a complete request within seven days and aim to complete it within 30 days.
What we delete
After verification, we delete or irreversibly anonymise information such as:
- contact and devotional profile details;
- communication preferences and non-required communication history;
- personalised media and active public sharing links controlled by Sivakoti; and
- other personal information that is not required to be retained.
Information we may retain
We may retain limited information when required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or security purposes. We may also retain a minimal suppression record so that we can honour a request not to receive future messages. Information already delivered to an external messaging account or downloaded by a recipient cannot always be recalled from that recipient's device.
Stop messages without deleting your record
If you only want to stop optional WhatsApp communications, reply STOP to a Sivakoti message. You may ask to update an inaccurate record without deleting it.
